Community Guidelines
The Society is defined by the conduct of its members. These guidelines ensure CrownLaneSociety remains a welcoming and dignified space for all.
1. The Founding Principle
CrownLaneSociety exists for one purpose: to provide elegant social entertainment to adults in a safe, honest, and enjoyable environment. Every interaction on the platform — whether with games or with other members — should reflect this purpose.
2. Age Requirements
Access to CrownLaneSociety is restricted to adults aged 18 years and over. This is a firm requirement with no exceptions. If you have reason to believe a minor is accessing the platform, please do not assist them in doing so. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's internet usage.
3. Respectful Conduct
Every member of the Society is entitled to play and engage without harassment, discrimination, or abuse. Prohibited behaviour includes:
- Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any form
- Discriminatory language based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, or any other characteristic
- Threats, whether implicit or explicit
- Sharing or soliciting personal information from other users
- Impersonating Society staff or other members
4. Honest Play
CrownLaneSociety games are entertainment tools. Attempting to exploit, reverse-engineer, or manipulate any game mechanic undermines the experience for the wider community and violates these guidelines. Permitted conduct includes:
- Playing all three games within their designed parameters
- Using the refill function when Crown Coins run low
- Sharing gaming strategies and tips in the community
5. Understanding Crown Coins
Members must not represent Crown Coins as having real monetary value — to themselves, others, or in any public context. Crown Coins are entertainment tokens. Framing them otherwise misrepresents the platform and could cause harm.
6. Responsible Engagement
We encourage all members to be mindful of how much time they spend on the platform. Even free-to-play social gaming can become habitual. If you find yourself unable to stop playing, or if gaming is interfering with daily responsibilities, please review our Responsible Gaming resources and consider reaching out to a support organisation.
7. Reporting Concerns
If you observe any behaviour that violates these guidelines, or if you have concerns about your own or another person's relationship with gaming, please refer to our Help Center for guidance.
8. Enforcement
CrownLaneSociety reserves the right to restrict access to the platform for any user found to be in violation of these guidelines, without prior notice. This includes but is not limited to: providing false age confirmation, attempting to exploit platform mechanics, or engaging in harmful conduct.
9. Updates to These Guidelines
These guidelines may be updated from time to time. Continued use of CrownLaneSociety following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
